A little bit of my story:

My journey with therapy started when I went to therapy because I was experiencing depression and felt very alone. Going to therapy as a teen helped teach me how to open up about difficult and personal experiences. I have gone to many therapists over the years and have found that it is something that can assist me to get unstuck. I have found therapy very valuable in my life and I hope to give a similar support to my clients.

I graduated with a Masters in Counseling from Saybrook University within the LIOS (Leadership Institute of Seattle) program in 2015. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in community mental health and also private practice. I have also volunteered for the Thurston and Mason Counties Crisis Line and the King County Crisis Line as a phone worker answering calls from people that were in crisis and needed support.

I value connecting with people and animals; spending time with my 2 cats, friends and family, talking, walking, playing sports, adventuring, cooking, and playing games.

Creativity is important to me. I like to play music and improvise new songs. I have been expressing through visual arts since I was young and like to draw, doodle and craft.

Connecting with nature is very important to me, how I connect with nature changes through the years (rock climbing, camping, hiking, watching birds, gardening, nature journaling), the how doesn’t seem to be as important as being with nature in a variety of ways; curious, engaging, playful, listening.

I continue to do my own work, to reflect and grow. I do this through reading books about therapy and mental health, getting new training in therapy modalities, going to therapy as a client, going to workshops, having supportive and inquisitive conversations with friends, journaling (both in words and drawings), being in nature and connecting with expressive creativity.
